Ever wonder what the '.1' meant on the version of this site? It means it's predecessor didn't make the cut. Now, don't get me wrong - I really liked this design; it was whimsical and it was blue like all the other incarnations of this site. I even spent hours just getting the feather design right. Ultimately I felt it might have been a bit too bulky and since the rest of the background was going to be white, I was afraid it was always going to distract the visitor's eye.
