About this piece

A concept sketch of a superhero based on myself. The original idea came from a friend who writes short stories about a rag-tag band of heros with unusual, seemingly pointless powers. The Avian's power is that she lacks body mass. At 5'3 she weighs about as much as an empty plastic bag. The boots she wears work like maganets to the Earth's natual pull and are fully adjustable from inside the toe box, giving her the ability to suddenly drop down from the sky onto villians, then float away on the breeze. Her glider wings fold out from a back pack.
